Last Weekend in Faro Blanco
We are so sad to leave this magical place.  We stayed 5 weeks and loved it.  Met new friends and reconnected with old friends.  Brent and Mary left and Brian and Deb came in.  Glad we had a few hours in between to flip the boat.  We spent time at the pool on the weekend and enjoy our last two days.

4/1/24-Time to move on
We left Faro Blanco at 5:30 am in the dark to get to the Seven Mile Bridge where we think we can goin under to the Atlantic Ocean to head north.  High tide was 7:14am and we were there at the exact time.  Deb filmed us going under the bridge and the antenna slightly hit.  So happy that was over.  We were so happy to have Brian and Deb aboard to go through that experience.

We actually sailed 3-4 hours with no motor.  First time on this whole trip.  Anchored in Rodriquez Key for the night.  Lots of boats staging for crossing to the Bahamas.  Saw dolphins as we came in but no pictures.
4/2-3
Rough night at anchor.  Ocean calmed down by 7:00 am.  Staying at anchor until high tide so we can go into a marina in Key Largo.  Kim, Brian and Deb decided to the nearby island to snorkel while I worked on this blog.
Came into Marina Del Mar in Key Largo at high tide (3:30pm).  It was a narrow channel to the marina and we had to call on the Channel 16 as we entered the jetty and then at the 90 degree corner called Crash Corner so we did not encounter other boats outbound.  Brian drove while Kim directed him in.  We tied up on starboard side and had our celebratory drink. (Mike's Lemonade)
The morning sun came down the channel.  Kim washed the salt off the boat.  We walked around looking at other boats.  A lot of charter boat businesses in here.  Sharks circled the cleaning stations.
I realize that I have not posted in awhile.  Everything is fine.  I am dealing with not seeing land in crossing to the Bahamas so we came up with a new plan.  Kim found crew and I came home to hang out with my Dad and take care of things at home.  We will post video and pictures of the Bahamas as Kim sends them to me.  He has been waiting for a good weather window to cross so that has added to the delay.  Once Kim gets back we will continue up the East coast North.  Can't wait to hear about his adventure!
