18) Highbourne Cay

Wednesday, March 25
We left Cave Cay around 8:30 am. Put the sails up once we were on the Bahamas Sound and turned the engine off. 8 hours of sailing with no motor! It was a little rolly at times but we were going 7-8 knots! Our 58 miles were done in 8 hours. Pushed through the current getting into the anchorage and grabbed a mooring ball.  We are settled in. Made dinner and watched the sunset. We have very wealthy neighbors on each side of us.

Left around 8:30 am to head to Clifton Bay outside of New Providence (Nassau). We are working our way back to Florida but watching for that weather window to cross. We may be held up for a few days. As we come into the bay huge yachts are anchored with a freighter and two barges.
Kim put his fishing line out. Had two fish but they got away. He did catch another baracuda but I missed the shot. He did release the baracuda after he carefully avoided those sharp teeth.

We anchored in Clifton Bay for the night. We have been here before and there were a lot of boats the first time. Now just a few.

Left Clifton Bay and headed 27 miles north to Morgan's Bluff. Only took us 3 hours. We just stayed one night to get ready for the long trip to Freeport.
