9) Michael and Sarah's Visit Feb. 20-23

Friday, Feb. 20

We picked Michael and Sarah up from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport around 10:30 am and headed off to Jungle Island for a Flamingo Encounter. Getting there was a challenge since it was downtown Miami but soooo worth it.

Jungle Island has amazing statues made out of fabric all around. They have lemurs, capybaras, farm animals to pet, wallaby, tortoise, budgies, macaws and FLAMINGOS! This guy to the left is #45 and seems to be the leader of the group.

Ended our day with dinner at Sharkey's.

Day 2, Feb. 21

After breakfast, we headed to Key Largo Princess Glass Bottom Boat. It's a two hour tour (glad it's not 3).

Went to Shell World and The Dive Shop in the afternoon. Power naps before dinner.

Ended evening at The Pilot House eating Stone Crab Claws and Lobster (not me, I have a salad).

We went 45 minutes out to Molasses Reef. The reef stretches from Port St. Lucie to the Dry Tortugas. It is the 3rd largest reef in the world. We saw a lot of small fish and a barracuda.
