8) Feb. 15-19 Key Largo
Sunday, Feb. 15
Walk. Pool. Relax. That is our routine each day.
Tonight we went with Steve and Sherri from Sunshine Dreamer to a speakeasy. What a great time! They have a car so we rode in style. In back of the VFW hall is the Armory. To enter, you walk through a tunnel to the black box. Inside the box is a handheld radio. You must say the code word which changes daily. The door opens and you walk into this bar that has military memorabilia everywhere. You see the "Fallen Comrade Table", honoring POW/MIA service members.
They are famous for their Key Lime Pie Martinis and they were so good. Great food. Great company.
Monday, Feb. 16
Spent the day organizing my canned goods and making a provision list. Michael and Sarah are coming in Friday so wanted to get that out of the way.
Dinner was at the American Legion. A random couple who live in Key West said we had to try it. It was Meatloaf Monday. I love meatloaf (not the singer). Much different place then last night but much cheaper! Good food and nice people!
Thursday, Feb. 19Jam Night at the American Legion. So fun! Band was great. Fun to people watch. Talked to random people.
